Writing in Blogspot

Looks like I will have to continue writing through Blogger first, at least to create a following for the mean time.

I have been writing through Wordpress since I decided to start blogging (again, for the nth time), but I can't seem to maintain a more consistent pattern when it comes to updating. I liked the look that Wordpress gave---it's very clean and neat, and is perfect for when you want to establish a writing career, or experience that will be appealing to freelance contractors/clients as they mostly require an experience in using Wordpress.

But my occasional Google-ing of available information whenever I have a question (Google is my top reference as it's very easy to go to) and I can't help but notice that most bloggers use Blogger/Blogspot for their blogs. For some reason, it's easier to create a following/audience when using Blogger, I guess it's because Blogger is owned by Google.

So, I was thinking that maybe, I should write here for the mean time, then just move to Wordpress once I have established a good number of audience.

The Birth of Goldi Fish

I hope to be able to share things in my life and let other people see a glimpse of how I live, not because I wanted to broadcast it, but actually in the hope that other people in my situation can relate and find relief in the knowledge that they're not alone. I am now starting this out in the new chapter of my life, where I am already someone's wife, mother of my children, and a new member of the family of my in laws. I may have started it quite late though. I wish I was able to start on this, soon as I entered this new chapter so that I also get to have a record of my progress, my learnings, and my lapses in this whole new experience.

To brief, I am starting this now, a few days after our 3rd wedding anniversary, so that makes me already 3 years married, to a seafarer who is most of the time not with me. I have self declared that I become a single mom every time he gets on board, and then just comes back 9 months later. We currently have been blessed with a lovely son who is 16 months at the time of this writing, and I'm at the moment 11 weeks along with our 2nd.

At the moment, I am writing this using my Samsung Tab 7.7 P6800, an android device. I used to own an iPad 2 before and loved it to bits, but I can't deny it's as heavy as Moses' tablet written with the 10 commandments (or I just feel like it is). So when Apple decided to release a lighter version, I decided to sell my well loved iPad 2 to my sister and am now planning to get myself an iPad mini, or an iPad air, depending what my budget allows. These gadgets help me get on with my blogging without having to open a laptop, which can be quite a pain since it's more bulky, and can cause delays before I get to write my thoughts of the moment. Not that I don't like using a laptop because there are still times that it is so much better typing it from a full keyboard with actual keypads and not touchscreen, but these tablet undeniably can make blogging easier that I can even do it lying down in my bed. In fact this is how I am writing this now, and look at the time.

I am currently unemployed, and just plainly a full time mom. Can't fully say a full time housewife for we are still living with my in laws so I am not the one who's in charge with the whole house keeping. I just get to do a few work that are for us but I don't cook our own food yet. I was hoping to get a job, at least something that pays me for just a few hours work for I can't afford to do a full time one right now.

Being married with kids has a lot of challenges. My husband could've provided for us alone but I think with how the cost of living is right now in the city in the Philippines, and with our current situation which I would probably have to dedicate a whole different post just to describe it, I would want to be able to help my husband financially. At least now that we are still establishing our family. We still don't have our own house so we also have to save for that.

That's it for now. I will be sharing more in the coming days.
